From the cockpit to the bar
Turnkey AI and IT for bars, cafés and restaurants.
LX Horeca Labs brings artificial intelligence to hospitality and takes care of everything a venue runs on: servers, operating systems, POS, network, cabling, sound, video surveillance and notifications. We plan, supply, install and maintain. Our roots are in aviation navigation; every system runs in our own pub before we offer it.

AI for hospitality
Copilot, not autopilot
We bring artificial intelligence to hospitality where it counts: purchasing, pricing, stock and the bar. Models suggest, people decide. Every suggestion shows the data behind it, and staff can reject it at the bar.
Forecasting
Kegs, coffee and pastries to bake – a day-by-day forecast from sales, weather and the events calendar.
Menu engineering
Which items carry margin and which carry volume – with a price that hits the target cost ratio.
Variance control
Keg yield from the scales against pours sold, stock counted by cameras, voids and comps: variances with evidence.
Supplier price tracking
Supplier promotions and price changes mapped onto your recipes before they hit your margin.
Staff assistant
“Does the Virgin Hugo contain sulphites?” – answered from the recipe base, with the source.
AI rollout for your venue
A review of data and processes, choice of tools, connection to POS and stock, and staff training.
Turnkey IT and infrastructure
Complete IT for hospitality
One partner for everything a venue runs on – from the server cabinet to the camera on the terrace. We plan, supply equipment and licences, install, connect and maintain. Systems are built to aviation rules: no single point of failure, documented and monitored.

Video surveillance and AI analytics
Cameras protect the venue, and the on-site server turns the picture into numbers: how many guests are in, where queues form, how many bottles and kegs are left. Recordings stay on site.
IP cameras · recorder · analytics on the local server · phone alerts
- Stock
- Counting bottles on the shelves and kegs in the cellar, compared with sales and the keg scales.
- Flow
- Table occupancy, crowding at the bar and waiting time – no identification of people, numbers only.
- Security
- Entrance, till, cellar and terrace; encrypted recordings, role-based access, automatic deletion after the retention period.
In line with ZVOP-2 and GDPR: impact assessment, warning signs, written notice to staff, no cameras in changing rooms or toilets.

Architecture
- Redundancy
- A rule from the cockpit: no single point of failure at the bar. During an outage the local hub stores and prints, then syncs.
- Data model
- Orders are immutable events; the table tab is a projection. Every change has an author, a device and a timestamp.
- Integration
- REST + webhooks; adapters for tills and payments keep provider APIs out of the core.
- Security
- EU hosting, encryption at rest and in transit, role-based staff access, revocable table tokens.
- Privacy
- Guests order without signing up; personal data only for an e-mailed receipt or a wallet card (GDPR).
- Status
- The architecture shown is the v1 target. The modules above carry their real status.
Live test bed and showroom
Lab 01 — Jazz Pub, Celje
A working Irish pub, first opened in 1995 and reopened by our team. 50 seats, a mezzanine for 16, coffee from 6.30 and last orders at 1.00 – every module runs here first, on real guests and real Saturdays.
Come for a demo over a beer: see the guest screen at the table and the staff screen at the bar, with the numbers behind them.

Why aviation
Origin: the discipline of navigation
LX Horeca Labs grew out of aviation engineering – the world of instruments and navigation for gliders made in Celje. In the cockpit, an instrument that freezes at the wrong moment is not an option – nor is one that needs a manual.
We bring the same rules to hospitality: redundancy at the point of service, displays you understand at a glance, and data you can check. Hospitality is our new airspace; AI is the new instrument.
Frequently asked
Questions and answers
Do you supply the equipment or only install it?
Both. We supply equipment and licences through authorised distributors, install and configure them, and hand them over with documentation. If you like, we also maintain them under a contract with an agreed response time.
Our venue already has a till and a network. Do we have to replace everything?
Not necessarily. At the site visit we list the existing equipment, and the quote shows separately what stays and what we suggest replacing.
Is the video analytics GDPR-compliant?
We set it up in line with ZVOP-2 and GDPR: with an impact assessment, warning signs and written notice to staff, and no cameras in changing rooms or toilets. The analytics counts guests and stock, does not identify people, and recordings stay on the on-site server.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The venue keeps working. The local hub stores orders and prints tickets, then syncs with the cloud when the connection is back.
Will AI make decisions for us?
No. Models suggest, people decide, and every suggestion shows the data behind it. The AI modules are planned, with pilots in Lab 01 starting in 2027.
Where can I see the system live?
In Lab 01 – Jazz Pub, Ljubljanska cesta 7, Celje, opening on 20 November 2026. Write to us to book a demo.
